A Strasbourg district: the city's largest housing stock

Neudorf: the district with the most homes in Strasbourg

One in six of the city's surveyed homes is here. The stock is evenly spread on both sides of the scale, which makes this the district where just about everything can be found, and where the choice comes down to the building rather than the address.

None of Strasbourg's 15 districts has a larger stock of surveyed homes: 17,409.

The energy condition of the housing stock

Of the 17,409 diagnostics carried out in this neighbourhood since July 2021, 6.8 % of homes are rated F or G, and 7.0 % A or B. The most common label is C.

That is 0.6 points more than Strasbourg as a whole, where 6.2 % of the housing stock is rated F or G.

This figure determines what an owner can do with their property: the timetable of the loi Climat et Résilience is progressively closing off letting to the least efficient homes. Having the diagnostic carried out is therefore a prerequisite to any letting, not a formality at the end of the process.

Why there is no rent figure by district

The public indicator for advertised rents stops at commune level: it exists for Strasbourg, not for its districts. We do not break it down ourselves, and we do not copy the city figure and pass it off as local. The Strasbourg rent is 15,57 per square metre for flats, all sizes combined. see the Strasbourg page for the breakdown by property type.

Sale prices, for their part, exist nowhere in the public domain: the Bas-Rhin comes under the livre foncier d'Alsace-Moselle and not the national sales register. Any price per square metre shown elsewhere for this district is an estimate drawn from listings, not a record of sales.
